Booking Conditions

ShoreHost Ltd Booking Terms & Conditions

Welcome to ShoreHost! We’re thrilled that you’re considering staying with us. Before completing your booking, please take a moment to read and agree to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Booking Confirmation

Your booking is confirmed once we receive your deposit or full payment and send you a confirmation email with your holiday dates. Please review all details carefully to ensure accuracy. Failure to provide correct details may result in cancellation of your booking

  1. Payment Terms

To secure your booking, a deposit of 25% of the total holiday cost is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 60 days before your holiday begins. You will receive a reminder before this date. If the full balance is not paid by the due date, your booking may be cancelled, and your deposit forfeited.

  1. Guest Information & Identification

We require the names, ages, and contact details of all guests to finalise the booking. As the lead booker, you are responsible for ensuring that everyone in your party agrees to these terms and conditions. If requested by law, we may require proof of identification (e.g., a passport or driver’s license). Failure to provide accurate guest information or identification may result in cancellation without a refund.

  1. Arrival and Departure

Check-in time is any time after 3 pm on the start date of your stay, and check-out is by 10 am on the final day. If you expect to arrive after 8 pm, please notify us or the owner in advance to ensure you can access the property. If you do not arrive by 12 pm the following day and fail to inform us, your booking may be treated as a cancellation without a refund.

  1. Security Deposits

Some properties require a security deposit. This will be outlined at the time of booking. The deposit is to cover any breakages or damages and will be refunded, less any costs, within 14 days of check-out, subject to a property inspection. If deductions are necessary, we will provide a breakdown of costs. Disputes regarding any charges should be raised within 7 days of receiving the refund.

  1. Behaviour and Conduct

To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone, please adhere to the following:

Keep the accommodation clean and tidy.

Leave the property in the condition you found it.

Comply with all legal requirements and do not use the property for illegal or commercial purposes.

Do not sublet the property or allow unauthorised guests.

Avoid anti-social behaviour and respect neighbours.

Adhere to any specific property restrictions, including party composition.

Failure to comply with these conditions may result in the cancellation of your stay without a refund and potential charges for damages.

  1. Maximum Occupancy

The maximum number of guests permitted is stated on the website in each listing. If you plan to have visitors during your stay, please inform us in advance. Exceeding the maximum occupancy or hosting unauthorised events may result in cancellation without a refund.

  1. Pets Policy

Pets are welcome in pet-friendly properties, provided they are declared at the time of booking, and you follow these guidelines:

Pets must not be allowed on furniture or in shared facilities.

Pets must not be left unattended in the property.

Dogs must be kept on a lead within the property boundaries, especially if the boundaries are low or compromised.

You must have pet insurance, including liability cover.

If pets cause damage or additional cleaning is required, costs will be deducted from the security deposit. Registered assistance dogs are permitted in most accommodations, but please inform us in advance. For guests with pet allergies, please contact us to ensure a suitable property.

  1. No Smoking

All properties are non-smoking, including e-cigarettes. If smoking is detected, a cleaning fee of £100 may be charged, and this may be deducted from the security deposit or charged to you additionally.

  1. Damage and Cleanliness

You are responsible for any damage or breakages caused by you or your party during your stay. Please report any issues immediately. If the property is left excessively dirty, an additional cleaning fee may apply, which will be deducted from the security deposit.

  1. Right of Entry

Owners or their representatives reserve the right to enter the property in emergencies, to make necessary repairs, or if you are in breach of the booking terms. Reasonable notice will be provided, except in the case of emergencies, where immediate access may be required.

  1. Unreasonable Behaviour

We reserve the right to refuse entry or terminate your stay if any guest’s behaviour is likely to cause offense, damage, or discomfort to others, or if illegal activities are suspected. In such cases, no refund will be provided, and you may be charged for any damages or additional costs incurred.

  1. Complaints

For issues before your arrival, please contact us at hello@shore-host.co.uk. If you encounter problems during your stay, contact the operator or property manager immediately to allow them to resolve the issue. For direct bookings through ShoreHost, please contact us directly, and we will aim to assist in resolving the problem with the owner. Complaints must be submitted in writing within 28 days of your return.

  1. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend obtaining comprehensive travel insurance that covers unforeseen cancellations, medical expenses, and property damage.

  1. Cancellations by You

If you booked directly with ShoreHost and need to cancel, please notify us in writing at hello@shore-host.co.uk. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

100% refund if cancelled up to 30 days before arrival.

50% refund if cancelled up to 14 days before arrival.

No refund if cancelled less than 14 days before arrival.

If we can rebook the property, we will refund you less any price difference and a small booking fee.

  1. Cancellations by Us

If we need to cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, government restrictions), we will refund all payments promptly. ShoreHost Ltd will not be liable for any other compensation or costs.

  1. Liability Limitations

We do not accept liability for any loss, damage, or injury to you, your party, vehicles, or possessions unless it is proven to be due to our negligence. ShoreHost Ltd is not responsible for disturbances beyond the property’s boundaries, nor for the breakdown of public utilities (water, gas, electricity). We also accept no liability for owner compliance with current legislation for Furnished Holiday Lets (FHLs).

  1. Wi-Fi and Internet Use

Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided in most properties. Please use the internet responsibly, and do not engage in illegal activity online during your stay.

  1. Eco-Friendly Practices

We encourage guests to conserve energy by turning off lights and appliances when not in use. Let’s protect the environment together.

  1. Electric Vehicle Charging

If a property offers an electric vehicle charging point, it must be used responsibly and according to the manufacturer’s safety guidelines. Any damage caused due to improper use will be charged.

  1. General Terms

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. ShoreHost Ltd reserves the right to update these terms and conditions, and any updated terms will apply to future bookings.

We look forward to welcoming you and ensuring your stay is enjoyable and stress-free!
